There are basically three ways to study at RIEC. Study as an Undergraduate Student By being an undergraduate student in the School of Engineering at Tohoku University, you have a chance to study at RIEC. Every laboratory in RIEC is in neat collaboration with the Undergraduate Department of Electrical, Information and Physics Engineering. Visit the websites below for more details. About the entrance examination of the School of EngineeringAbout the School of EngineeringAbout the Undergraduate Department of Electrical, Information and Physics Engineering Study as a Graduate Student Each RIEC laboratory associates with either one of the following three graduate schools at Tohoku University: the Graduate School of Engineering, the Graduate School of Information Sciences and the Graduate School of Biomedical Engineering. By being a student of these graduate schools, you have a chance to study at RIEC. Depending on the laboratory you want to join, you should take an entrance examination to the right graduate school. Please find the collaborative relationships between RIEC Laboratories and associated Departments of the Graduate Schools here.Entrance examinations to these graduate schools are provided twice a year.Application procedures for autumn enrollment in Master’s Program (for entry in April 2016) is now uploaded. Graduate School of EngineeringGraduate School of Information SciencesGraduate School of Biomedical Engineering Study as a Research Student You can start studying at RIEC as a Research Student from any time of a year. The period should be within one year, in principle. Please note that no academic degrees are given to this studentship. To apply for a Research Student, you need to have an undergraduate degree. Please contact the professor you want to be supervised and and obtain permission.
